I am originally from Long Island, N.Y., but I have been living in Ireland since 1990. Currently in my final year of a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art at The School of Creative Arts, D.I.T. Grangegorman, I am a Dublin based, multi-disciplinary artist. My main focus is on oil painting and my concerns for this project are with how language and stories can transform ordinary objects into objects of beauty, interest and contemplation. My practice includes drawing, video and spoken word. My interests include metaphysics, ancient history and science. I was resident artist at the Mercy Family Centre, Weaver's Square, Dublin from 1999-2009 and was also involved in various art programs with Women's Aid, RUHAMA and Rathmines Women's Refuge before deciding to formalise my art education.
